FO Friday 48: Twofer

No songs today, but actual real life FOs, two of them: go me.

First is Tracy's Shawl that we last saw being soaked and blocked; it was sent as a gift over a week ago, but I haven't heard anything from the recipient. Here it is modelled by Mini Diva:

A lovely pattern in a lovely yarn: Artesano 100% alpaca 4ply in 'Anemone'.

And again, here is Mini Diva in her new vintage sweater, made from only 4 balls of Robin Picasso Chunky in the blue colorway; having succeeded with this, I am very likely to make a purple one for her cousin D. Mini Diva had requested the blue; apparently purple and pink are so yesterday ....

Engorged with my successes, I am off over to Tami's Amis to peruse those of others ....

  2. Both projects look great, love the blues (always been more of a blue fan than a pink fan myself)

  3. Oooh lovely! The sweater reminds me of all the things my Mum and Nan used to make for me when I was little - I guess that makes ME vintage too!!! LOL :)

    Have a lovely weekend

  17. Lovely, both of them and such pretty colors.

I do like the blue sweater. But, well, I'm just a dummy I guess. Why can't you use "yesterday's" colors on a "vintage" sweater? Are they too old cuz they're yesterday, or too new cuz yesterday isn't vintage yet? Is this a girl thing? Help!

  24. The wool you used for your jumper is the wool I used for the center of my chunky blanket, its a blue/green/grey combination :)

That jumper looks very comfy and cosy!
